Pre-Requisites

Direct Entry: Students who have a degree in science or the arts and a license to work on patients in Ontario. These students must be able to provide their own malpractice insurance.

Preadmission Program prior to admission: RMT’s without a degree, must complete the online preadmission program and also the palpation course in the summer prior to starting the regular program.

Preadmission and Additional Course work. Kinesiologists must complete our online course and the palpation workshop in the summer prior to being accepted into the regular program. In addition to this they must complete additional clinic hours and take the assessment course offered by the basic science program at the CCO.

Basic Science Program: For other applicants missing a portion of our entrance requirements, we offer a basic science program that includes Anatomy, Physiology, Biomechanics and Assessment skills. This course is offered after completion of the preadmission program during the school year. Students can begin their normal osteopathic studies and complete the basic science program at the same time or chose to complete them individually. Students will also be required to perform additional clinic hours in the first two years of study.

Students in the Basic Science Program will be required to purchase malpractice insurance in order to maintain enrollment in the program. The college will provide options for this.
