Enrolment in the pre-admissions program prepares students for the rigors of the main program by ensuring that they have current knowledge of the fundamentals of human physiology, functional anatomy and biomechanics as they relate to the practice of Osteopathy.

 

The Pre-admissions program is directed toward individuals who a hold certificate, registration, or license to practice a form of medicine or manual therapy (minimum of 2,220 hours of training), but who lack a university degree in the health or human sciences, or equivalent. The pre-admissions program consists of two elements, totalling 140 hours.

 

1) A home based independent study directed by the college's director of the Pre-admissions Committee.

 

2) One, 5-day course in practical anatomy and palpation.
