World Osteopathic Health Organization

The World Osteopathic Health Organization (WOHO) was established in March 2003 at a meeting in Ottawa, Canada, and now has interest from Osteopaths and Osteopathic physicians from 25 nations. This organization intends to recognize both types of osteopathic practitioners, Osteopathic Physicians and Osteopaths.

According to WOHO's January 2004 website, their goals are to “to promote, develop, protect and establish throughout the world, the study, philosophy, science, and practice of Osteopathy in both its application and research for the benefit of the people of all nations. In addition WOHO seeks to ensure the worldwide availability of the practice of traditional manipulative Osteopathy (manual Osteopathy) of the highest possible standard and its integration into existing health services in different countries.” The CCO and the CEO are actively participating in this process.
