Length of Treatment |
Osteopathic manual treatments generally range from thirty to sixty minutes. The frequency of treatment and the number of treatments is based on the patient's needs and depends upon the severity of the symptoms, the length of time that the patient has experienced the symptoms, the patient's compliance between treatments, and the ability of the patient to attend treatment. Generally, treatments are spaced once a week or once every two weeks. Sometimes as few as three treatments or as many as twelve or more treatments are required. Depending upon the severity, and length of symptoms, the patient usually begins to feel the results of osteopathic treatment immediately. |
